Stump Grinding is the chipping out of the stump mechanically to approximately 200-300 mm below ground level. The trees’ radial root spread remains intact unless otherwise specified.
We then back fill with stump grinding arisings. Generally the stump grindings (mulch) remain onsite unless otherwise specified. This is generally required when replanting or a fixture i.e a shed or paving is needed.

We promote tree replacement and tree planting. We are able to assist you with your choice of the perfect tree species for the environment you would like it to be planted with expert advice.

We offer an onsite timber planking/conversion service for our customers that would like to take the full value from the wood ensuring the tree is used to its maximum potential.
In our experience this is also a great recycling technique turning a felled tree into benches, furniture, garden planters or raised beds… plus many many more….. 

Being the all round reduction of the crown size of the tree (not the trees’ overall height) unless otherwise specified, Usually expressed as a percentage. In some cases only partial crown reduction is specified in order to clear buildings, street furnishings etc. usually expressed in meters. 

Being the complete removal of lowest branches to main trunk and/or the reducing tack in length of lowest branches thus increasing the height of the main crown line above ground level. Usually expressed in meters. 

  Remove deadwood: Being the removal of all major deadwood in the tree down to 3-4 cm diameter. 

 Reasons for felling might be for legal and insurance requirements (such as in cases of subsidence) or to promote light for other trees/ buildings, sometime also the tree species and sizes is not appropriate for the location. We are able to carefully dismantle large and small trees in a controlled manner, we also promote where possible the replanting of a tree which is more appropriate. 

 Trees that have become infected are a safety risk. Dead, dying and dangerous trees are not always easy to identify and if not safely removed the result can be damage to people and property. The utmost care is taken during removal and we are experts at working in confined spaces
